Students will acquire foundational business concepts, learn economic and mathematic concepts, and apply those concepts to a new business idea. Real life examples are important to use when educating students. This course will take them through an entrepreneurial journey of creating their own business, producing a product, or offering a service, marketing and selling to their peers. This course encompasses a variety of basic life skills such as money management, business development, bookkeeping, profit margins, marketing campaigns, and friendly competition. Students will learn how to start a small business of their own. Opportunities to sell their goods and services will be provided through Trinity Market Days approximately once a month. Students will plan and implement Trinity’s annual Fall Festival and Spring Festival. Parental involvement and assistance during the Fall and Spring festivals is highly encouraged and needed.
