If you want to become an independent thinker and an effective communicator, this is the course for you. Students will learn how to distinguish between fact and opinion, make good historical judgment, analyze primary or secondary sources, and use quotes effectively in debate. They will learn the true history of America from a Christian perspective and how to spot inconsistencies in revisionist history. Students will analyze and answer interpretive questions in history, conduct research, participate in Socratic discussions, reenact events, participate in reader’s theater, and work on group projects.
*At least one group project and one American hero biography presentation will be assigned.
*Grades & Homework will be posted on Mellow Yellow.
