French 1a is designed to meet the needs of students with no previous experience in French. Combined with the follow up French 1b, these two courses are the academic equivalent of a High School French 1 course. This class introduces the fundamentals of French grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary, and will teach students to express themselves both orally and in writing. This course also introduces students to French culture and the francophone world.
