Art exposes children to the beauty in the world. Through art, they learn to observe and appreciate the aesthetics of nature, people, and objects. They learn to pay attention to details, colors, patterns, and more! Children will explore the world of both two and three dimensional media, such as pencil, colored pencil, watercolor paint, acrylic paint, etching, pastel, colored paper 3D art and clay. The students will learn by following the teacher in a step-by-step method that allows the child to see projects take shape from beginning to end. During the session, the child will create drawings and paintings on canvas, and will learn with step-by-step instruction how to draw, mix colors, and apply brushstrokes to create their masterpieces such as landscapes, animals, humans. They also will incorporate air dry clay building techniques to create a variety of animals and things with guidance from the instructor.
